Cotton Cricket Day 13th July 2008

TR members enjoying the cricket
The Cotton Test Match is a day of knock-out cricket with 9 village teams. Other entertainment includes a beer tent, huge BBQ, lots of tea and cakes, children's fun, to sum up - village fete atmosphere plus cut throat cricket. Several Abbott and Stour members met at Irene and Davids to travel to Cotton. Neville was there with his TR2, Joe and Louise in their TR4 , John and Debbie each in a TR6 and a TR7. The weather was cloudy but warm and although rain threatened several times it did not happen and the sun came out briefly. We sat enjoying the exciting cricket paying regular visits for hot dogs, tea and cakes. It was an afternoon of sport and fun.
