arranged by Continental Car Tours. This year is a special for British Classics and it would be a great introduction to travelling with your TR abroad, come and join in!

January is a quiet month as we recover from the Christmas festivities. However our regular monthly meeting at The Manger Public House in Bradfield Combust includes the Annual General Meeting when our Events List is discussed and produced, any suggestions welcome.

Monday 5th April
The Wensum TR Easter run is Monday 5th April. As this is the 10th year all triumph clubs are invited to celebrate to make it a big event (24 cars booked so far). Numbers are limited due to restaurant so book ASAP. The run starts at the High Lodge Forest Centre Santon Downham Thetford IP27 0AF between 9.00 and 10.00; breakfast available. The run will take you along deserted roads and into Europe's largest lowland pine forest approx 60 miles. Option of lunch at The Mundford Crown. After, there is the option of a brewery tour or other places of interest e.g. gardens/Grimes Graves. The destination is Sandringham Estate where, for an entrance fee, the Group can visit the House and Gardens, or it is free to wander round the Country Park Estate; bring your own picnic or eat in the Restaurant or the Visitor Centre cafe. Monday 31st May
Stoke by Nayland Village Show. Meet up with other classic car owners to attend this popular village event. Events lined up are: a hog roast, beer tent, a dog show, tug of war, various stalls, competitions, an Art Exhibition, and a classic car display. Fayre starts at 10:00am and ends around 3:00pm. Stoke by Nayland lies about half way along the B1068 between A12 (Clolchester to Ipswich) and A134 ( Colchester to Sudbury).

Hylands House Car Show, Chelmsford contact: John Andrews (Area co-ordinator)
This event has been nominated to be the Show in our area where the TR Register will have a presence and all local groups have the opportunity to assemble.
As well as displays by a number of car clubs, motorcycle clubs will also be present plus various car distributors/dealers. I am also told the following will be in attendance to provide interest and entertainment: Essex Air Ambulance with their new helicopter; Essex Police with their cars and helicopter (and, possibly, dogs); Chelmsford District of the IAM; Suffolk Punch horses providing carriage rides; Helicopter rides; Hovercrafts; Retailers; Fairground; Several fast food outlets, as well as the permanent cafe; Beer tent; Ice cream sellers; A repro Spitfire aeroplane. This promises to be a really great event so we are encouraging all members to come along; we aim to get five hundred plus cars of many different marques and interest to all petrol heads. Meet at The Manger at 08:30am to drive in convoy.

Come and experience the joy of classic and sports cars in a beautiful rural setting, in aid of St. Nicholas Hospice Care. The event is a fun day out for all the family to enjoy, to raise money and awareness for St Nicholas Hospice Care. The event is from 11.00am – 4.30pm
Activities on the day will include: -Classic cars displayed by the lake Showcasing the original Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Car -Bring your own picnic and drinks or food available from Suffolk Food Hall with beverage stalls -Drinks area to be sponsored by Greene King -Live music all day -Climbing Wall and Children's amusements -Craft Stalls -Face painting
