We are always looking for volunteers for a number of events and ideas - so please volunteer and don't leave it all to those few who do this every year - it isn't difficult, help is at hand and it's fun (honestly!) - Thanks
Please Note: our events coordinator, Ian Hewlett, has moved location so we are looking for a volunteer for the post of Events Coordinator
In addition, we are still looking for a volunteer for the post of Website Manager

January
Tuesday 11th January - our regular monthly meeting at The Manger Public House in Bradfield Combust includes the Annual General Meeting when our Events List is discussed and produced, any suggestions welcome.

A presentation by Ian Cornish, Vice President of the TR Register and owner of 4VC since 1969.
Tickets for this event are now on sale at £3 p.p. and include a subsidised finger buffet (courtesy of the Essex Group).  The buffet and bar facilities will be available during the intermission.

Club Night 2nd Tuesday of the month

8pm prompt - This month's Club Night we have a talk/presentation by Brian Page of Classic Assessments. Brian will provide an insight into classic car assessments/values and then a little bit on the lighter side of his work. The presentation including a Q and A at the end should take approx. 1hour or so. For further information regarding Classic Assessments, please refer to Brian's website:

Note: there is a small charge for this event (£5) - this will enable a 'finger-buffet' to be available with a proportion of monies collected going to the charity 'Help for Heroes' as requested by Brian Page.

Tuesday 22nd February
Pudding Club at The Manger Bradfield Combust 8pm.  After a main course eat as much and as many puddings as you can manage.

Drive It Day - event organised/coordinated by area coord Ian Freeman
This Year the South East Area and East Area have combined to hold Drive-It-Day.

The venue is: 
The Royal Gunpowder Mills?   Beaulieu Drive   Waltham Abbey   Essex EN9 1JY

It is hoped the format will be as before i,e,. Group Convoys to arrive at midday.   We will once again have an award for the Groups highest collective mileage and car of the day as voted by a representative of the Gunpowder Mills.

Monday April 25th
Wensum Group Leader David Solomon is organising an Easter Bank Holiday run. This year David has decided to go south for this run and plans for us to go on a run to Sutton Hoo. The meeting time will be between 09.30 and 10 am at Thickthorn services off the A11/A47 roundabout

Saturday 27th - Monday 30th May - Group trip to Laon Historique, France. 20th Anniversary dedicated to British Classic Cars.
Some members are travelling to Brugge 25-27th prior to travelling on to Laon.

2011 Festival of Classics and Sports Cars held in association with the Suffolk Vehicle Enthusiasts Club (SVEC)
We meet at Beacon Hill Services, A14/A140, where Ian will distribute tickets.
We will leave at 9am so please arrive early for prompt departure.
NOTE: we are attending as a Club Stand so please arrive on time for 'convoy' journey (to avoid disappointment).

Sunday 21st August
Wensum Group Event:-Hunstanton Kite Festival & Classic car show. Classic Car and Motor Rally & Concours d’Elegance Peter Pierce is organizing a trip to the Hunstanton Kite Festival & Classic car show. This run will be in conjunction with the Camb Followers TR Group from Cambridgeshire. This will be a good show as the proceeds go to charity plus a great way to meet fellow Club members from other Eastern groups. Pre Booked Entry Fee £7 per car, vehicles to be in place by 10.30, entry includes entrance fee for two people, all Entrants receive a Commemorative Plaque Contact Peter Pierce on 07787196518 for details.

Lavenham Rare Breeds and Motor Show. All booked up now. Meet at The Manger Inn 9.00am 
NOTE: tickets for those club members who have booked them will be distributed on August 9th Club Night.

Annual 'Fish and Chips' run - organised by Andrew and Nikki

Sunday 11th September - Classic & Sports Cars by the Lake
This event, in aid of St Nicholas Hospice Care, is held annually at Hall Farm, Fornham St. Martin, Bury St. Edmunds IP31 1SL

pub Bradfield Combust followed by a talk/presentation by Brian Page on 1940's re-enactments.
NOTE: earlier start time
There will be a small charge of £3 per head for this presentation which will be donated to The Royal British Legion, on behalf of Brian Page.

 This evening's talk is about the ever growing 1940s Re-enactment scene and some of the events. Why I (Brian Page) do it and the charity fund raising involved. A little bit about 11/11 - Rememberance Day. ...and what previous generations had to endure. Also perhaps a bit of a singsong at the end and a little quiz ??  
   
Note: we aim to collect completed Christmas Meal menus and monies this evening so please be prepared - thank you
