I had my first Triumph in 1965, a 1962 1600 Vitesse in Phantom Grey with a Sebring white stripe. This was duly sold with the onset of married life, however on my 50th birthday I once again acquired a 1962 Vitesse, colour Litchfield Green, with a white stripe!
With retirement fast approaching and never having owned a sports car I decided to endulge myself, so along came my Sapphire Blue TR6.
Due to lack of space I had to part with my Vitesse after 13 years of very reliable motoring. My wife is yet to forgive me, as she was very attached to it. The Triumph bug rubbed off on to both of our sons who at various times owned Spitfires, Herald, and Dolomite. All since gone with married life and children. History repeating itself you could say!
