The usual suspects met at the Plume for a gentle run up to the Quarryman at Edmonton for a couple of pints.

The normal rearward facing drive by photo shoot was not made any easier by Gordon's TR7 Sprint being equipped with a low rollover bar and a high boot spoiler as well as a rear wing mounted aerial.

Sam Cobley gave his long awaited TR8 its first local airing to the admiration of all.

Just over a mile up the A30 from Mitchell, Pete Hancock had to chase down Gordon and myself as Tim Parr's TR5 gave up the will to live.

A quick double back by Gordon and the 5 was dragged to the safety of a lay by at Summercourt.

After much discussion and tinkering, it still wouldn't fire so the AA was summoned. After a mere two hours they turned up. By this time it was pitch black and piddling with rain. No doubt all the other notables were swigging Betty Stoggs at the Quarryman without a care in the world. C'est la vie.
