***UPDATED 14-03-2010***
These are scenes that have been part of the Register folklore since its inception. The discussion, the pointing, the advice, the critical opinion etc etc.
Why not scroll down memory lane and try to remember all the cars and faces?
***UPDATED 25-02-2010***
These images will be drawn from various sources, so consistent quality cannot be guaranteed.
***NEW 12-08-2010*** This section has taken a lot of preparation. It is largely my own work, but I would to thank others for their contributions, especially those who know nothing about it! The Group Newsletter section of our website bears reference to most of the Cornish TRs I have any knowledge of, but I will always welcome contributions from anyone else. Any imagery will be greatly appreciated.
***NEW 02-09-2010*** Every year we all seem surprised that "the evenings are drawing in". It's a fact, but it just means we have little opportunity use the TRs on uncluttered roads in good daylight and weather. Despite we had another superb turnout for our August Evening Run. After the contingent arrived from the Far West, Will Mee led us for a gentle amble through the lanes taking in Charlestown, Porthpean, Pentewan and Mevagissey before arriving at The Polgooth Inn. It was good to see a couple of TRs from Devon joining us.
***UPDATED 29-08-2010*** The West of England Steam Engine Society held its 55th Annual Rally at the Stithians Showground. This was a three day event held over the third weekend of August. After decades of trying secure an official presence at the show, this year, with a bit of inside influence, the Register was invited to display a full range of TRs. Previously this had been restricted to the older cars. Brian Sparrowhawk brought the Register marquee and regalia down from HQ at Didcot, while Phil and Trish Tucker brought along their TR3S Le Mans replica. This and the rest of the colourful array drew a lot of attention. As the weather were appalling on the Friday and Saturday, it was a relief to see just a glimpse of sunshine during Sunday.
***NEW 29-07-2010*** A reasonable number of hardy souls made their way through the mist to visit the most southerly pub in the United Kingdom. Thank you to Stuart for providing the photgraphic evidence.
***UPDATED 03-07-2010*** Yet another of our splendid evening runs was held in ideal conditions exploring a bit more of the stunning Cornish coastline. This time we were joined by our friends from the Devon Group. Let's hope they enjoyed themselves and will persuade others to join us in our next escapades.
***NEW 21-06-2010*** Following the recent bumper attendances at local events, the number arriving for this one could best be described as modest. Those that turned up were treated to a tour of the Gardens in glorious weather. It is hoped that this venue can be used as a base for larger events in the future,
***UPDATED 28-05-2010*** Here is a selection of shots from a truly superb event. We were able to welcome new cars and owners on a journey to the far West of our area, taking in St.Ives and Zennor. I'm sure we are all looking forward to the next run.
***NEW 29-04-2010*** This was the first meeting at our new meeting place when there was just enough light (moon) to see the TRs in the car park. A good line up of Cornwall's finest, plus an extremely rare Maserati 3500GTi, were there for all to admire.
***NEW 06-12-2009*** This year we missed out on the brilliant sunshine of 2008, but we had twice as many TRs to admire. While three were listed, unfortunately the Italian car did not appear at Dunmere. A handful of us turned out to support these hardy souls in the early stages of their three day adventure.
***NEW 26-08-2009*** For our last Evening Run of the season we assembled near Roche and then took a leisurely amble up the A30 and A38 to the Halfway House Inn between Bodmin and Liskeard. Here we met with some Devon Group members who travelled down from Plymouth. If you think any of the images are a little blurred, don't worry it's probably not your eyesight failing. Trying to take shots from a rampant TR6 being driven at close to the legal limit (!) in appalling light conditions seldom results in sharp pictures.
***NEW 02-07-2009*** Two groups met at St. Austell and Chiverton and then converged in Tregony. Following the superb turnout on Father's Day, it was a pleasant surprise to see twelve assorted TRs appear for the evening run.
***UPDATED 29-06-2009*** The Group's trip on Fathers Day to Trelissick.
***UPDATED 27-05-2009*** Our first evening run of the season saw the cars from Chiverton arrive at Charlestown pretty much at the arranged time. The splendid array of eleven TRs made their through Par and on to Hanson Drive in Fowey for the inevitable photo-shoot at twilight. After a slight delay for various minor reparations, the walls and windows of Fowey were given a good rattling. Anyone on holiday taking a quiet evening stroll was reminded just what noise and exhaust pollution is really like as 58 TR cylinders made quite an impression through the narrow, sleepy streets. I hope our late arrival at The Crown Inn Lanlivery didn't mean that anyone who had gone directly there for 20:30hrs had given up and made their way home.
***NEW 07-12-2008*** At least the fourteenth running of this gruelling event started in good weather for a change. It was a pity that the number of entrants, particularly TRs was down this year.
***UPDATED 07-10-2008*** Club Triumph again chose the wettest and darkest weekend of the year to make the trip down to Land's End for the breakfast stop on their biennial Round Britain Reliablity Run. This year the event was run to raise funds for the RNLI. While there were 18 assorted TRs on the Entry List, only 5 passed by on the A390 through Tresillian during the hour I waited there in the rain. Images of other Triumphs on the run have been included to show the range of vehicles taking part. There were 147 on the Entry List.
***NEW 28-09-2008*** This event was not particularly well advertised, but it was a chance for some fine TRs from the Devon and Cornwall groups to show off alongside a fascinating range of other Triumphs from the area. The meeting was the second to be held at Trerulefoot and was blessed with glorious sunshine. The site was soon full of cars and people. This along with the inevitable backdrop of pylons, cables and wheelie bins made it a photographer's nightmare. Look out for more gatherings next year.
***NEW 30-07-2008*** It wasn't meant to be like this.
***NEW 29-06-2008*** This year the three Cornish Red Devils took part in Le Tour. The pictures were taken at Domellick near St.Dennis not long after the start. The route was to take entrants from Fraddon to Lanhydrock via Bude.
***NEW 25-06-2008*** On a cloudy evening we met up at Mitchell and after some car swapping made our way to the Royal Inn at Par. Following a bad dose of pratnav, which took us around the industrial backside of Indians Queens, we used the old A30 and ventured past the Eden Project through the majestic splendour of St Blazey, arriving at The Royal bang on 20:30hrs.
***NEW 01-07-2008*** This section shows some of the Triumph cars (including that immaculate 4A) and their owners in attendance for John's funeral in Hayle on 23rd June 2008.
***NEW 15-06-2008*** After a morning of mixed weather, members of the Cornwall and Devon Groups held a lunchtime get together at the Quarryman Inn, Edmonton near Wadebridge. Later a contingent from Thames Valley Group joined us on their way to Brittany! Cornwall, Cournailles, what's the difference?
***UPDATED 10-06-2008*** Our first evening run of 2008 was held in a gap between two typical Bank Holiday weather systems. We met in the car park at the Plume and made our way down the A30 to spend a little time at The Yacht Inn in Penzance. The photo-opportunity at Marazion with St Michael's Mount as a backdrop, was too good to miss.
***UPDATED 21-04-2008***
"Drive it Day" took the TRs to Pendennis Castle, Falmouth.
***NEW 24-03-2008***
Big thanks go to Rodney Rawlings for getting to Land's End at 08:00hrs on 1st Dec 2007 in the most appalling weather conditions imaginable. Rodney captured the spirit of this 1,500mile epic event.
***UPDATED 17-03-2008***
The Devon and Cornwall groups meet for Sunday lunch.
***UPDATED 18-03-2008***
These images show what happened on our club run from The Plume of Feathers and back via Truro and Perranporth.
Once again, a sunny event.
TR5 owner Tim Parr kindly arranged for us to have a tour of this fascinating building. The TRs certainly looked in keeping with the surroundings.
***UPDATED 23-03-2008***
After Ken Tucker from Apple County handed TS2 over to Julian at Okehampton, it went on a quick sight seeing tour of the Duchy. The car called at The Lost Gardens of Heligan, Blue Hills 1 and of course, Land's End, before being seriously inspected by Group members at The Plume of Feathers.
***UPDATED 28-03-2008***
The Tour organised by the St Piran's Sportscar Club is always well supported by TR Register members.

***UPDATED 19-03-2008***
These are pictures are from our trip to Blue Hills to watch the sun set. For some reason we were late and it had already gone to bed.
The Rotary Club of Wadebridge organise this event and each year it seems to be blessed with glorious weather.
These shots were taken in the lanes near Gummow's Shop
This popular tour through Cornwall is organised by the MG Car Club.
This show in aid of local charities is held on the Mount Edgcumbe estate overlooking the River Tamar and Plymouth Sound.
***NEW 19-03-2008***
We organised this event in attempt to travel from Launceston in the east down to Land's End, using as much of the old A30 as possible.
***NEW 01-04-2010***
***NEW 02-04-2009*** In July 1995 our man Gordon Kellow and a few members of the Cornwall Mini Club got together to organise the probably first big show for all makes of classic car to be held in the county. The show was preceded by the inevitable convoy run and overnight camping for Register members and families from many different areas. On the Sunday the weather could not have been better, with a huge array of cars of many makes. Triumphs were easily the most popular make of car at the show and the TR7V8 raffle prize was on display to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the TR Register. After the undoubted success of the initial show, it was then adopted by the Rotary Club of Wadebridge who turned in to the Wheels event which still takes place each year at the Royal Cornwall Showground.
