Saturday 14th July - In the middle of the appalling weather, the sun shone all day on Drakes Broughton Fete and Classic Car Show, which was a fund-raising event for the local church - divine intervention…??!!
CVTRG were represented in the classic car display of around 20 vehicles by five TRs and Andy’s van, and the finest gazebo on the field, putting our neighbours, the Subaru hooligan brigade (classics..?!!) into a distant second place!
Colin’s radar homed in on the catering departments immediately - who else could find a slice of cake with custard filling, and follow it up with a hamburger and a hot dog!
Car of the day was judged by an informal public survey to be a 1932 Austin Seven.
The classic car display will be given more advance publicity next year, so we will hopefully be able to get more cars there.
