After three weeks of rain almost every day the sun was out for our drive through the Cotswolds to Millets Farm Park just outside Abingdon. At 10.30 am we pulled out of Merstow Green  to head for Stow on the Wold minus Alan Wilding  who for some obscure reason decided a last minute invitation to Silverstone on a VIP ticket was more attractive than driving with us!!!!

Six cars followed the route with us picking up Phil and Be at a layby through Stow. The weather stayed warm and sunny and after 75mins we arrived to be met by a 1914 Rover driven by Clive Harrington--whose family built my Dove.It so happened that his vintage car club were on a Cotswold tour and using Millets as a launching base mainly from trailers.Chris I hasen  to add drove his all the way.We also had the advantage of Andy Canning clearing out his van to provide transport for any larger items purchased. Thanks Andy but I didnt tell Sue -otherwise she may have taken you up on the offer

Millets has something for everyone, a restaurant for Colin and Sue serving naughty desserts etc ,a very good food shop, garden centre, P-Y-O and a large Trout lake and walking area. Some of our group had a picnic on the grass, others enjoyed a more substantial lunch guess who but the reports back were that a good day was had by all. No mishaps ,cars all performed OK and the sun even kept out on the journey home.

Thanks to all who came along -to those who didn't--that's your loss.
