About Us

The Highlands and Islands TRs Group is one of many regional UK Groups of the international organisation for Triumph TR sports car enthusiasts, the TR Register founded in 1970 to further interest in the series.

Established as an offshoot of the Grampian TR Group several years ago we now have over 30 members scattered across the whole area. For those that don’t know the region, it extends from Shetland in the North to Campbeltown in the south and goes half way across to Aberdeen. It’s over half the land area of Scotland so it’s not surprising that we tend not to have a regular meeting point for our get togethers. We have members in the far north mainland; in the Western Isles and in the Fort William area many of whom are keen enough to travel many miles to our evening meetings.

Being so far north, our members are remarkably self sufficient and knowledgeable about their cars and the TR marque generally and you’ll find everyone willing to pitch in and with help and advice for new members.
