Welcome to the Highlands and Islands web page…….!

As you can see, courtesy of Ian Brown at Register HQ, we now have the technology available to us to post articles and photo’s up on the TR Register website. I’ve made a stab at things so far if you look around the Calendar and Gallery pages you will see the results of a few early efforts. Two points to mention though:

1) Not every member has internet access (some don’t even have a PC) so for those that do, please make sure that others are up to speed with what’s going on. I’m sure we will continue the usual phone around when things are happening but increasingly, these pages will be your information on what’s planned.
2) The pages will become very dated very quickly unless members send information for us to post. Articles, photo’s anything you wish (within reason) and Steve or I will work out how to post it onto the site. Send your contributions to bob@sorbus.demon.co.uk or smithyandco@aol.com

June 16th Run to Applecross

Thanks to all for turning up on what I think was the first Group run anywhere……….I think that it was enjoyed by all despite the weather forecast. It makes you appreciate the really stunning scenery we have in this part of the world, made even better when you are driving in a TR.

If anyone has any other suggestions for another run, either later in the year or for early next year just give me a shout.

I’ve posted some photo’s up on the Gallery page but here’s a couple more. Gilbert and Tom won’t recognize the tea stop at Shieldaig; sorry guys but we fancied a break and you both seemed to be enjoying the “pace” up front.

Aftermath at Applecross.................

Tea Break and Flapjacks.........we cleaned them out.

TS2 Hits Town.......on Independence Day !

Well on the 4th of July, TS2 finally made it about as far north as you can get without getting really wet.  Yours truly was in San Francisco on that very day and indeed spied a cool looking TR3 being driven down the Haights on that very day.

The full story of TS2's journey north will appear once I get the full gen from folk.  Mean while here's a taster photo with more in the "Group Gallery" section.
