Medway Festival of Steam & Transport - 23rd March 2008
Chatham Historic Dockyard again hosts the above named event on Sunday and Monday 23rd & 24th March, respectively, which Kent Group have heartily supported these last few years. If you have received your entry form and wish to attend with the group on Sunday 23rd March rather than as an individual, please complete the form and give it to Paul Loveridge who will present a block booking. TSSC Drive it Day Run on Sunday 20th April
The Triumph Sports Six Club have arranged a Drive it Day Run across Kent to the Spitfire & Hurricane Museum at Manston Aerodrome. They set off from Marden Village Car Park at 10am, drive through the Weald, around Canterbury finishing at Manston. If you wish to join the run telephone Steve on 07749-254382. However, if you don't fancy what is expected to be a long run,( 50 miles) contact Richard Goddard on 01303-248054 as he and other members of the E.Kent TSSC are meeting at Chilham Public Car Park ( A252 ) at 11am to meet the main rally as they stop before travelling onto Canterbury and Manston Museum. Special parking has been arranged at Manston ( take a picnic if you wish ) Cost is £5 per car. All monies to the Manston Museum Trust.. ( see report on Group Newsletter )
St.Georges Day Celebrations - Sittingbourne
On Saturday 26th April at Sittingbourne there is limited space for 100 cars to be exhibited to the general public. Every entered vehicle will receive a plaque with awards for best vehicle and for driver and passenger dressed in the fashion era of the vehicle. Duxford Spring Car & Motorbike Show Cancelled due to LOI
Sunday 4th May is the scheduled date for this event. We anticipate meeting in North Kent and travelling through the tunnel, round the M25 and up the M11 to Duxford. Contact Paul Loveridge on 01622-859820 for more details. You need to book-in by 16th April.
ARRIVA FUNDAY AT DETLING Sunday 11th May
Held at the Kent Showground, Detling is the Arriva Funday which is packed with various shows, stalls and exhibitions. Entry is FREE and car clubs are exhibiting. The show is in aid of the Kent Ambulance Trust and Help a Kent Child charities. If you are interested please contact Gary Shaw on 01634-666048 or 07771-712387. This is a full weekend event for 17th and 18th May and is posted for the information of club members.
FAVERSHAM CLASSIC CAR SHOW Sunday 18th May

Classic Car & Bike Meet on Tuesday 27th May.
In an effort to replicate the ACE Cafe in North London, Michaels Restaurant, London Rd, Sevenoaks has organised DJ Suzy Q plus 50s, 60s & rock n roll music plus burgers, fries & hot dogs. 7.30pm - 11pm. It is intended to run this every last Tuesday of the month. Just turn up if you wish.
LAON INTERNATIONAL CLASSIC CAR SHOW.
From 30th May until 2nd June this annual car show attracts hundreds of UK and continental classics. Situated approx 22miles south of Calais, it is a fantastic weekend for those who enjoy continental driving and the organisers take pride in looking after you. Wed 4th June - Club Nite at Challock - Bring & Buy
Turn up and vote for your favourite TR. There's plenty of room in the car park and and there will also be an opportunity for you to bring & buy Triumph bits & pieces. So clear out those old TR bits & pieces you no longer need and turn them into cash at the Halfway House meeting.
WROTHAM STEAM FAIR and CAR SHOW
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June at Wrotham Field at the top of Wrotham Hill. The Kent TR Club annually attend this show on the Sunday and generally attend in good numbers. There are plenty of stalls and also a cracking number of auto jumble pitches. For entry forms contact Richard Norman on 01732-882320 but don't hang about entry forms must be handed in by 15th April.
CLASSIC SANDWICH CAR SHOW 6th - 8th June 2008
This is a 3 day event held at Sandwich nr Dover and is in aid of Kent Air Ambulance Trust. The event is advertised on the TSSC website ( http://www.tssc.org.uk/ ) where full details are displayed.
BROMLEY PAGEANT Sunday 15th June
This is one of the counties largest and highest attended shows and is always well attended by Kent Group members. If you would like to join in please contact Kelvin Barber on 01689-859416 for details.
Trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway Sunday 22nd June is the date for a trip on the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Light Railway. Although the booking has not been finalised it is envisaged that we meet at J9 ( Ashford Cinema Car Park ) at 1030am and drive on to New Romney Railway Station where there will be reserved secure parking for our TRs.. We then take the minature train ride to Dungeness via Romney Sands and after light refreshments there we return by train to New Romney and collect our cars. Upon our return a fish & chip meal at The Britannia or The Pilot. UPDATE 01/06/08:: Unfortunately lack of numbers booking in for this event make a reduced booking fee impossible, however you can still turn up on the day and pay the full adult fare of £7.10p Ravens Wood School Custom & Classic Car Show & Fayre

AUTOGLYM HSCC Historic Festival Sunday 29th June
Members, this is a superb opportunity to take advantage of a special offer made to our organiser to attend the Autoglym Festival of Racing at Brands Hatch on Sunday 29th June. SENLEC Classic Car Show - Bodiam Castle, Sussex
Sunday 6th July is the date for this Classic Car Show. Last year it was situated at Bexhill Golf Course and supported by South Downs and London Group plus Kent Group. This years venue is opposite the picturesque Bodiam Castle. You need to book in by 16th May so if you wish to attend contact Richard Goddard on 01303-248054 who has entry forms available. Meeting point is on the hill just outside Hawkhurst on the A229 at 9am ( having gone through Hawkhurst ) or 8.15am Ashford Cinema carpark J9, M20.

Details of how to attend contact the TR Register. Although some members of Kent Group are attending, there isn't an organised group as such from Kent Group attending.
MALVERN TR INTERNATIONAL SHOW 18th - 19th - 20th July
There is no organised trip by Kent Group to Malvern but as in years gone by no doubt individual members will form up and go along in small groups. If any member wants to organise and advertise their trip contact Richard Goddard to advertise it here on the website. The Great Cliftonville Classic Car Show Sun 27th July Set on the Oval Lawns, Cliftonville on Sunday 27th July. Prizes for Best Car, Furthest travelled, Oldest Vehicle plus funfair, sideshows, tombolas and Bar-B-Que. If anyone wishes to take part then telephone Mr. R. Club Nite at Challock Wed 6th August
From 8pm onwards at the Halfway House, Challock. An invitation has been sent to the East Kent TSSC. This gives us an opportunity to chat with enthusiasts of ALL Triumph marques and hopefully following on from our attendance at the Drive It Day organised by the TSSC we can forge mutual links..
Leeds Castle Classic Car Show Sunday 10th August
This is a new event on our calendar. According to the information pamphlet tickets are issued on a first come first served basis. This is a 2 day show Sat 9th and Sunday 10th. You can if you wish please attend on either or both days. As a group outing we have opted for the Sunday ( take a picnic ) as many of our membership work on Saturdays. We shall be leaving promptly at 9 a.m. to arrive at Leeds Castle shortly afterwards.
Tulip Run and Evening Meal Sat 16th August 08
Following on from last years very successful event, Les Staley has arranged a tulip run starting at the Halfway House through the East Kent lanes and returning to the Halfway House for a meal. Meal prices vary as to what you order, but in general they are good value. If it is a warm evening like it was in 2007, it will be a good evenings entertainment. Folkestone Oldtimers Classic Show Bank Holiday Monday
Held on the beautiful Leas Cliff Promenade, Folkestone on Monday 25th August 2008. Cars need to be arriving from 8.30am onwards as the show is open to the public from 10am - 4pm. The Shuttleworth Museum & Pageant Sunday 7th September
Situated in Bedfordshire off the M1, Shuttleworth Museum & Pageant offers a roped off private viewing area if we can provided 20 persons or more before mid-August. November's Events
Following on from the success of our Christmas Dinner party in December 2007 at The Halfway House, Challock, we have again booked the entire restaurant for the evening of Saturday 20th December. There were no adverse reports from last years meal as the food, service and prices charged were all very good. The 2008 menu will be displayed on this website when it is available and it is very likely to be a fixed price multiple choice menu as last year. ( More details will appear here as the year progresses. )
