Well it is 2012, so Happy New Year to you all. Now down to Leicestershire's news.
Our November gathering was our AGM. Everyone was happy to continue in their present role so no changes there. This of course includes Reg as official meeting heckler.
Our thanks to anyone and everyone who has had a part in organising last year’s events, both on a local and national level. We have as a group attended many including The International & European Meeting, together with local events run by Wharfdale, Borders and Red Rose to name but a few. Some of our members also went on a trip to France and others to Belgium.
Our last run out was in October and attended by nineteen cars including two from London and two from Cotswold Vale. We believe that to be our best turn out ever; thanks to Colin and Ann for organising.
The New Year’s Eve party will have been and gone with everybody having a great time no doubt. Our theme is French food, so thanks to Tony and Ruth for their hospitality.
Looking forward to the year, we hope to continue to support other groups at their events and organise a few runs of our own. Any Leicestershire members that do not already come along to our get-togethers are most welcome on the Third Thursday of each month at the Rose and Crown, Tilton on the Hill. Hope to see you there.

Hello everyone! Despite most of our group being away at the European Meeting, September's get together was very well attended. This included both Chris Tapsell and John Hepworth in their newly finished re-builds. Well done chaps, we look forward to seeing the cars on a run soon. Colin is also progressing well with his TR250, so we may have a hat trick soon. A few members however spent most of the evening in the car park trying to sort out David Guzzetta's lights. Well it would not be a TR get together without at least one bonnet up, would it?
Congratulations to Dick Goodey, David Guzzetta, Martin Ward and Colin Skinner who all played their part in organising the Driving Day and barbecue. We were joined by many guests including Nene Valley, Dave Burton from Camb Followers (who helped with the event) and a contingent of Mini enthusiasts. Once again, Dick organised fantastic weather, the field was perfect with even a small raised bank from which you could safely watch the driving. This was followed by a barbecue cooked to perfection by Colin. Thanks to all who attended.
We haven't seen them yet, but welcome home Mick and Linda Forey who have returned form a work attachment in Canada. Looking forward to seeing them both at the October Meeting.
The winter months will be quieter on the driving front but many social events still to come, so why not join us at the Rose and Crown, Tilton on the Hill, third Thursday each month.

Hello everyone. A quiet summer when all is said and done.
We had a great turn out for the International, helped by the fantastic weather. Although he did not attend, Dick, our weather organiser, did us proud.
The summer run out followed by a Thai Meal was also well attended and enjoyed by all who took part; we are now planning a curry night too.
A small group arranged their own trip to Ireland and a much larger contingent will be on their way to the European meeting too. September's club night will be very quiet without them.
Not much more to report so looking forward to seeing you at the Rose and Crown, Tilton on the Hill, third Thursday each month.
