TR Lincs GROUP LEADERS REPORT 2007

Since TR Lincs inaugural meeting on 15th January 2007 the group has been active in every month. The group has been involved in over 28 different activities, locally, nationally and internationally.

Membership
We have 70 TR Register members in the county and adjoining areas who chose to be part of TR Lincs. 42 of those members have attended at least one event. A group of 10 members form a core who attends most meetings.
There are 13 new members who have joined the Group this year. 2 members have moved out of the area, Morris and Dianne Ford have moved to the South of France and Eric Hardman has moved to Herefordshire.

Maggie Roach It is with great regret that Dave’s wife Maggie sadly died in December. Maggie was the organiser of the Humber Bridge South Bank Group, which grew to become TR Lincs. Maggie’s enthusiasm and energy for the new group will be missed and remembered by us all.

Monthly Meetings
The group has continued to meet at The Crossroads Inn, East Barkwith on the 3rd Monday of the month. Average attendances have been 10 members plus nearly as many partners.

Runs
10 runs were organised over the year and I am delighted to say that they were all organised by different individuals. I would like to thank those people and hope that they and others will continue to support the group in this way.
February Visit to Rimmers with East Riding Group
March Celluloid and Films Andy & Charlotte Kutarski
April Drive It Day in the Wold Laurence & Jane Gray
May Nene Valley Railway with Cam Followers
June TS2 with Trent Group Quiz run Graham Eaton & Julia Prebble
July Malvern!
August Battle of Britain & BBQ Malcolm & Sherry Brown
September Hagworthingham with East Saxons Group
October Navigation run to Fiskney Peter &Cheryl Heath
November Seals at Donner Nook Malcolm & Anne Newman

Weekend Tours
May a Tour of Norfolk organised by Laurence and Jane Gray attended by 6 cars, the weather was not brilliant but the food was excellent.
2 cars attended East Riding’s Aysgarth weekend despite the weather, we also met up with TS2 and Red Rose Group at Wensleydale

Malvern International Meeting
Unfortunately this year was a washout with the rains and flooding preventing most people attending. 2 members did go to the alternative event at Knebworth in August.

European International Meeting
3 cars made the journey down to Italy and on to the extra tour to Greece. All enjoyed a wonderfully successful event.

TS2
TS2 made a tour around Britain visiting all local groups. We had the car for 24 hours only taking it from Trent and passing on to White Rose Group.

Web Site and Communications
TR Lincs is one of the pilot groups to have is own site and pages as part of the Register’s site. We can now post news, pictures and details of events for anyone to view, any time; it has been an interesting learning process for us.

The majority of members are now being sent newsletters by email, which has significantly reduced costs, and improve communications

Committee
I would like to thank all the committee members for their support and efforts through the year.

It was not planned this way but as I am now working away from the area and planning to move to the North West Anne and I will not be able to continue as Group Leader and Secretary.

2007 has been an exiting and rewarding year for TR Lincs, I have enjoyed every minute of it and wish you all success for the future.
