My name is Rob Isaacson and I became Group Leader for Nene Valley in January 2008.

So, how did I get into the TR Register?

It was the late 80's, I had recently passed my driving test and my pride and joy was a 1983 Austin Metro. I was either easily pleased or had low expectation back then. Being a loving doting son it was my job to pick my mother up from work on the way home in the evening, maybe I had another motive? My mother worked in a retail shop and opposite was a gentleman’s outfitters which always had an immaculate red TR6 with wire wheels parked immediately outside on the road. Every day I would wind the window down and turn the radio off when its owner came out, started it up and roared off into the distance. What a fantastic noise!

At 17 years old I couldn't afford anything like that at the time, never mind insure it, so it remained a distant dream on my wish list for many years.

Forward to 2003 and my then long term partner suggested we should get married? Jokingly, I suggested we should get a TR6? She thought it was a great idea and agreed that I could have my 6 if we got married.
