News Flash! Our club night pub for the foreseeable future will be the Pheasant inn at Admaston (TF5 0AD), near Wellington on the second Wednesday of the month. Yes it has been changed to a Wednesday night, so keep an eye on the website for future details or call Richard or Simon.
The group organized a run over to the Peak district starting in Telford and then going over to Cheadle to meet up with Stoke members for a pleasant afternoon drive; thanks to Merrill and Dianne for organizing it.
Cholmondely Castle show saw a large Shropshire and Stoke turnout with some new cars and members out on the day, looking good in all that glorious sunshine. We also had about a dozen cars over the two days of the Shrewsbury Vintage show at the beginning of June, again in nice weather.
Whilst group members have been down to the Prescott Hill Climb Triumph day, some others were over in France, and our intrepid Dave Somerville headed over to the Triumph meeting in Ohio, USA.

Following last month’s report our club night pub, the Kynnersley Arms, has closed and we are still looking for a suitable pub. The April meeting met at the Labour in Vain and then we drove over to the Sutherland Arms in Tibberton to meet up with the rest of the group; a good turn out but the car park was a little small so keep an eye on the website for future details or call Richard or Simon.
Our June club night, The 14th Wharf Classic Car night, on the 12th June, starts at about 7.30 in the evening. It is an annual get together of all the North Shropshire, Cheshire and North Staffs area classic car enthusiasts, including the Shropshire and Stoke TR Register clubs, the Stags, Morgans, Morris Minors, Minis, Austin Healys, Jaguars and many more. Weather permitting, we can get over a 100 cars there. Everyone gets a chance to judge for the favorite car of the night, so if you are interested in classic cars and a pleasant evening at a quiet canal side pub in the heart of Shropshire, pop along - everyone is welcome
Weston Park over the Easter weekend saw the start of the local shows with a joint Shropshire and Stoke stand. A very good turn out considering the very cold unpredictable weather - thanks to you all, and to Paul for making it into the local Shropshire Star paper.
We will be having our usual stand at the Trentham show on June the 15th, if you need tickets just let me know.

Feb saw our AGM with a very good turnout. Cat Tunnadine came along representing the Register and Richard gave a run down of last year’s events. We touched on all the usual topics, including another Shropshire Weekend in August, and we will be having club stands at the usual classic car shows. We should be having a group run to the Peak district in April. Our club night at the Kynnersley Arms pub is experiencing a few problems so we might be looking for another venue, so call us or look on the website for up to date info.
Shropshire members popped down to the Stoneleigh Triumph show; with lots of folks to meet up with and plenty of spare parts, it was a great place to catch up with people and events on a sunny February day
You can get updates on our events from our web site; just follow the link from the TR Register website Groups section.
Bye for now.
