TR Action 255

Hi! Club nights at The Red House are going well.

Phil’s TR4A restoration is coming along very fast at the moment; he was able to get quite a few parts at the Donnington Triumph and MG show; while Peter Napier is putting a few miles on his newly rebuilt TR4. James’, Mark’s and Reg’s TR250s are all speeding along on the restoration front as well.

The Whitchurch TR brigade held a breakfast meeting at Sleap aerodrome over near Wem, something that we may try and organize in the spring?

Dave, Helen and myself popped down to the AGM to keep up with the Register and meet old friends there. The Shropshire Group’s AGM will take place on February 8th at the Redhouse starting at 9pm usual format. Come along and have your say on the group; we are already well on the way to organizing the coming season’s events, more on that next month.

For more info get in touch or check the website for up to date details.

Bye for now.

TR Action 254

Hi! Club nights are going well at the The Red House with some new members popping along, in fact Malcolm came along to club night looking for advice on the purchase of a TR6. Tony who lives quite close to Malcolm, gave some advice and after looking at various cars eventually Malcolm bought a very nice example that had been restored by the Northern TR center a while back.

He gave it a good test on the Manifold valley tour with some other Shropshire member; nice to see everyone there.

Phil has acquired a TR4A to go with their other Triumphs , Peter has got his TR4 on the road; while James, Mark and Reg are restoring their TR250s so it should be very nice when they are all on the road.

The Turkey Trott will be on Sunday the 18th; for more info or a menu just get in touch with Simon or check the website for up to date details.

I know it is a bit early but here’s wishing everyone a Merry Christmas.

Bye for now.

Club nights are going well at the The Red House with a few members with new cars (Stags, TR250s etc) to play with!

The International Weekend at Harrogate saw quite a few of the group heading up north for the weekend and some touring of north Yorkshire the week after. The weekend weather was fantastic and the range of stuff put on for everyone was good, camping was ok except slightly hilly if you got there later on. A big thank you to everyone who organized the weekend.

The weekend after saw us with a club stand at the first Shropshire Festival of Transport at Shrewsbury, giving them our support.

The TSSC weekend saw a few of the group there with Cat supporting the TR Register stand; cheers to everyone who came along at short notice.

Members have also been to the Tern Valley show, Onslow Park, the Lakes Weekend and quite a few local shows as well. Cholmondely show saw us there with a joint stand and quite a few of us (the Whitchurch Brigade ) ended up in the main ring showing our wares off for the TR Register. Dave was there very early holding off the Jensen club from nicking our usual spot. Cheers to Reg and everyone for putting up the stand etc.
