TR Action 241

Lets finish off 2009: our Christmas dinner was held at The Wharf near Cheswardine with almost thirty of us there - a nice meal and plenty of it, the usual quiz and the Phil Pendelton award going to a very surprised me, Dave keeping it very hush hush to the last second, anyway it was a very enjoyable afternoon.

As usual club nights are well attended even during the snowy winter months we have just had, with plenty of group members out in the snow having a play with their cars.

The AGM will have come and gone so more on that next time.

Don’t forget the March 7th Triumph Spares day at Stoneleigh, plenty of us will be popping down so get in touch.

The season will start with our usual club stand at the Weston park classic show for the Easter weekend; if you would like to go get in touch for a ticket.

Lots of upgrades /rebuilds etc still going on at the moment, Mark is cracking on with the rebuild of his TR6; Reg has now put telescopics on his live axle TR4A, fabricating the brackets and all; Steve has acquired a Triumph 2000, fancying a tin top; while Neil is busy doing what Neil does with all his Triumphs. We have put an alternator on the TR4 all for £5.

Do not forget to check out the website – it is updated every month with all the upcoming events.

Bye for now.

As usual club nights are still well attended, even during the winter months.

The AGM will be held on February 1st during our usual club night about 9pm. If you would like to run for office or have any ideas or thoughts on what to do during the year just let us know. We are already looking into going to Jodrell Bank, Cosford and for another trip to Belgium/France in August.

Lots of upgrades /rebuilds etc going on at the moment: Mark is cracking on with the rebuild and upgrade of his TR6, Reg is putting telescopics on his TR4A, while Neil came along in his newly acquired standard spec Stag - now how long will it stay like that?

Don’t forget: check out the website regularly, it is updated every month with all the upcoming events.

Bye for now.

The August and September Club nights were very well attended, as is the norm at the moment.

The Stoke group’s trip to Belgium went very well, everyone getting there and back and having a great time. Cheers to Chris and Marie for a very well organized and fun trip - see separate letter by Captain Dave.

A big Thank You to Reg and Steve for sorting the club stand at the Autumn Cholmondely Castle show while the rest of us popped up to the Lakes weekend. About a dozen Stoke members made the annual pilgrimage up to Cumbria, some for the first time and some being old hands; hope you all enjoyed it. Typical Lakes weather but very enjoyable; as usual cheers to Cat and his team for organizing it all.

Members have also been to Tatton Park and various other shows.

The Christmas meal will be on December 13 at the Wharf over near Cheswardine, usual time and arrangements. For more info and a menu - give me a call or email.
