Wessex cars met at Ringwood Services on the A31, here's my '7 and Bill's '2, with the '6's of Ian and Barbara Rolfe and Kevin and Ann Warrington.

All marques of Triumph cars were gathered at Avon Heath Country Park near Ringwood for the 2nd annual Wessex and New Forest Triumph Run on 20th April 2008

As the dark clouds lifted, Bill stowed the hood away and we were all rewarded with a sunny day despite a threatening start

The coffee stop was at the Bramble Hill Hotel, Bransgore, where all the car parks were jammed with Triumphs

A great opportunity to exchange banter and pick up a few tips

"My Other Car's a Triumph" sticker was absent from this Porker

Smiles all round

Back on the road for the next leg of the run to Shatsbury...........

....and up Zig Zag hill. Everyone made it with no casualties or burned out clutches

Lunch and the end of the run was at The Compassess Inn at Damerham where the cricket pitch outfield was given over to Triumph parking and informal "judging"

This is a very rare beast, one of the only 16 (or is it 18) original right hand drive UK TR8 cars. This one is owned by Keith Cox of the TRDC.

Exceptional GT6 Mk3

John Davies' Grinnal TR7V8

Geoff Glover's '4a lines up next to an immaculate saloon. Geoff was taking his car to France a few days later so the New Forest Run was a great shakedown for any gremlins that might spoil his trip

Wessex members took 3 prizes on the day, here, Bill Scholfield and Alice collect Best TR2/3 for their black long door TR2

Robin Hughes collects his prize for Best TR6. He was thrilled by this prize because he and Sharon had only bought the car a few days before.

Robin and his TR6 which won a prize on its first outing!

It was actually John's birthday, so it really made his day to win Best TR7/8

Our 3 Wessex Winners. Robin, Bill and John. Well done!
