When I was first married I was able to purchase a brand new TR6, and my wife and I took it touring Europe, but the car proved unreliable and I later sold it, 30 years later I was offered a TR2 that was in need of restoration and knowing that I had expert help on hand (hello Brother) I purchased it, during this time I was still working and progress on the TR2 was painfully slow I was able to get the car to the state of chassis and running gear completed but the body work ground to a halt due to my lack of expertise and enthusiasm.

On a trip to Mansfield to pick up a TR2 bonnet with my brother Chris, we were shown a TR4A that was for sale it had the tub already restored but with the remainder of the car in need of completing. Needles to say I could not resist and a week later it was in my garage along side the TR2. This new purchase prompted me to spend a spell of time buying parts on eBay but that returned many poor items at too high a price, far better to buy from fellow members or from shows like the international.

I have transferred my attentions to the TR4A and progress on the car is now going fine, I have a target date for completion of next spring, after this it is my intention to return to the restoration of the TR2 hoping that I will have gained sufficient expertise by then to complete this car, If by any chance some one should know the location of my first TR6 (HKU 281N) please get in touch as I would love to own this car again,
