I first saw a tr6 back in the early 70s when I was boy' and instantly fell in love with it. A lot has been said about "the last of the hairy chest sports cars" but even as a boy I thought this was the most masculine car i had ever seen' "not a hairdressers car the tr6". Move on over 30 years later and I finally had the chance to buy one' a nice saphire blue one, to be honest I didn't know to much about the mechanicals or bodywork, but Iv'e slowly learnt, Iv'e had to!
When I bought it it was only the second one I had looked at, and I paid top dollar for it, saying that it was solid with no rust and looked a genuine car, well over the past 3-4 years its had a respray "still saphire" new hood, wheels, mx5 seats, halogen lamps etc etc.
New upgrades to come over the winter are, su carbs instead of strombergs, hi torque starter motor, and possibly a bit of chrome work.
I have put about 10,000 miles on the car since Iv'e had it, and apart from the kids trampoline, buying the car is the best money I have ever spent
